For counseling or advocacy services ~ call 313-964-9701 M-F 9a-5p to schedule an appt – all are free and confidential. Our main business /office location is located at 2727 Second Avenue, Detroit, MI 48201.

In an effort to increase access to services, we also provide counseling services at our five clinic locations as well ~ Sinai Grace Hospital, St. John Hospital, Detroit Receiving, Kids Talk, and Medical Center and our private medical office in Taylor. Services are individualized to each survivor’s unique experience and needs.

Specially trained advocates are available 24/7 to provide immediate crisis intervention and support at our clinic sites.

Advocates will accompany the Forensic Examiner to the clinic site of the patients choice and are available to provide immediate support, information, resources, and referrals to survivors and their families. This may include information on rights and options, including medical and legal options, trauma response and common reactions. Advocates can also assist with safety planning including PPO’s and obtaining emergency shelter.

Advocacy services may include assisting a survivor or their family with navigating government or community-based systems. In this role, the advocate serves as a liaison to advocate that client’s needs and rights are met. This may include assistance with filing Crime Victim Compensation claims, court accompaniment or assistance with obtaining a personal protection order. This may also include assistance with filing a police report, obtaining follow-up medical care or assistance with other basic needs including safe housing, transportation, and financial assistance.
